Empowering the Girls and Women

“Saksham” means empowering individuals to become socially, mentally, and financially capable and independent.

Saksham achieves its goal through Six core strategies:

  1. Skill Development: Providing vocational training and workshops to build practical, job-ready skills.
  2. Education & Awareness: Conducting sessions on financial literacy, mental health, social rights, and personal development.
  3. Mentorship & Counseling: Offering one-on-one guidance, career counseling, and mental health support to foster personal growth.
  4. Entrepreneurship Support: Assisting individuals in starting small businesses through microfinance, backward and forward linkages, training, and mentorship.
  5. Community Engagement: Organizing community-driven initiatives to create support networks and raise awareness about key issues.
  6. Partnerships: Collaborating with NGOs, government agencies, and private organizations to amplify impact.

The training programme

The training programme on ‘Dress Designing and Tailoring’ for girls and women aged 16 to 45 years began on May 01, 2017, at the Senior Secondary Government Girls School campus in Rohat village of Pali district, with financial support from EASACT, New Delhi, and MMCF, Udaipur.

 

The primary purpose of the program is to enable the students to focus on a specific set of working skills, which should lead to a vocation or employment.
